Holiday Luncheon 2015
Our annual Holiday luncheon is fast approaching. We will gather to celebrate on Sunday, December 6 at the Lamp Liter Inn in Visalia. The social hour will begin at 12:00 Noon and a delicious Holiday Luncheon with traditional holiday menu (turkey and ham) will be served at 1:30 pm. Socializing and celebrating will continue until 4:00.
Cost for members is $25, and non-members are $30.
Please plan to gather with us - bring family members and friends - you will be sure to enjoy the afternoon. Click here for more specific information and reservation form.
Annual Summer Festival - August 9, 2015
The American Slavonic Social Club will be the site of our annual Summer Picnic - you won't want to miss it! In addition to a fabulous BBQ chicken and Shish Kabob lunch, lively music, and a great time of visiting with family and friends, we will also put those bocce courts to use with a bocce tournament.
The afternoon will also feature our traditional Scholarship Prize Raffle and a 50/50 Money Pot Raffle!
Doors open and the social hour begins at 12:00 noon. The Bocce Tournament will commence at 12:45. Lunch will be served at 1:30, and after lunch we will be introduced to the 2015 Scholarship Recipients.
This will be a great afternoon for everyone, young and old! Plan now to attend this event!

The Annual Summer Festival is slated for Sunday, August 3 at St. Peter's Serbian Orthodox Church social hall. Plan to attend for an afternoon of food, fun, and socializing with Slav friends and family.
We will feast on BBQ lamb and BBQ chicken, with mostaccioli, salad, and zeljanica. And then the desserts brought by the ladies to share ... Yum!
We will be entertained by Robert Samarzich and his tamburitza band, and there will be ample opportunity to support our youth with the Scholarship raffle (and perhaps win a prize as well!)
The festivities begin at 12:00 noon, and lunch will be served at 1:30 pm - invite a friend, plan to come to this annual cultural experience.

Join us for a time of socializing beginning at 12:00 noon - we will feature a hosted bar and hors d'ouvres, and follow with a delicious luncheon with traditional holiday menu (turkey and ham) at 1:30 pm.
NOTE: A very important but brief meeting of the membership will be held at 1:00 pm, prior to our luncheon celebration. It is vital that members attend and participate in this meeting as important decisions need to be made regarding the future direction of the organization.

2013 Summer Festival News:
The Annual Summer Picnic
as held August 4 at the Croatian Social Hall in Delano. What a great time of enjoying delicious food, fabulous music, raffle, and the fellowship of family and friends!
A huge thanks to the chefs and kitchen staff at the Croatian Social Hall for the delicious traditional barbequed lamb luncheon, complete with mostaccioli, sauerkraut and salad. Thank you, also, to the ladies in attendance who brought such delicious desserts to share!
And "hats off" to Bob Samarzich and his tamburitza band for the superb musical entertainment.

This years' three scholarship recipients were announced:
- Alexa Gambero is the great-granddaughter of Frank Jerkovich. She graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno and will be attending St. Mary's College in Moraga. Alexa is the 2013 recipient of the Katherine Maikovich Berger Scholarship.
- Ava Gambero is also the great-granddaughter of Frank Jerkovich. She, too, graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno and will be attending St. Mary's College in Moraga. Ava is the 2013 recipient of the Jacob V. Pandol Scholarship.
- Katharine Etsell (pictured at right) is the granddaughter of Martin and Margaret Zaninovich. She graduated from San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara and will attend the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
